Going to the Dentist Can Be Fun! We Promise!

Here at Royal Oak Dental, we love what we do and it shows. We treat our patients like family, because that’s what we are – a family centred practice. Your health is our top priority. We will always make sure you are informed about all your options and comfortable with the treatment you receive, so that you and your family will be part of our family for a long time.

Our Services

General Exams

More than just a “checkup”, we evaluate your jaw muscles, jaw joint (TMJ), occlusion (or “bite”) and how they can lead to future tooth wear/pain. We do an oral cancer screening at every exam, and closely examine your gums for gum disease, inflammation and bone loss. We examine each and every tooth for cracks, decay, broken fillings, and discolouration, and use a couple of different cameras so that we can show you on a computer monitor what your teeth look like up close!

Composite Fillings

If a tooth has a small to medium size cavity or an old previous filling is broken down and leaking, we can remove the problem area and place a tooth-coloured composite resin filling in to repair it.

Whitening

If you’re looking for a brighter smile, we offer take-home whitening kits! We make custom fit trays that hold a whitening gel against your teeth at home when it suits your schedule. We also offer ZOOM in office whitening for only $350!

Bridges

A bridge helps replace a missing tooth. The two teeth on either side of the missing-tooth-gap have a thin layer of tooth structure removed just like with a crown, and then a porcelain bridge consisting of “two crowns connected by an artificial tooth” is made to fill the gap.

Myobrace

Modern research shows that crooked teeth and poor jaw development are not caused by hereditary factors. Myobrace® focuses on treating the underlying causes, unlocking natural growth and development. Used by dentists and orthodontists in over 100 countries Myobrace® has successfully treated millions of children worldwide.

Night Guards

Is your snoring keeping your loved ones from sleeping? Do you feel tired in the morning despite going to bed at regular hours? Are you prone to falling asleep while watching TV, reading, or sometimes even at a traffic red light? We may have a solution for you to get more out of your sleep and be rested and ready to take on the day; talk to us to find out more.

Porcelain Crowns

If a tooth has a large cavity or old filling, or has a large crack/fracture, we may recommend a crown. A porcelain crown is a durable restoration that covers the biting surface of the tooth and wraps around it 360 degrees in order to seal the tooth and hold it together to prevent it from breaking down more. Crowns are also usually needed after a root canal on a back tooth to prevent future leakage, re-infection, or irreparable tooth fracture. We also offer Cerac crowns which can be completed in one visit! Saving you time and money!

Children's Dentistry

From “happy visits” for your inquisitive little one, to routine exams, cleaning, and filling appointments for your older ones, we’re happy to see your kids here at Royal Oak Dental. We follow the Canadian Dental Association’s guideline by recommending the dental assessment of an infant within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age.

Invisalign

A bridge helps replace a missing tooth. The two teeth on either side of the missing-tooth-gap have a thin layer of tooth structure removed just like with a crown, and then a porcelain bridge consisting of “two crowns connected by an artificial tooth” is made to fill the gap.

Laser Hygiene Therapy

Lasers can be used to reduce the number of harmful bacteria in and around your gums. As well, to perform various minor gum surgeries needed to optimize outcomes of fillings and crowns, or to improve the appearance of overgrown gum around the front teeth.
