Here at Royal Oak Dental, we love what we do and it shows. We treat our patients like family, because that’s what we are – a family centred practice. Your health is our top priority. We will always make sure you are informed about all your options and comfortable with the treatment you receive, so that you and your family will be part of our family for a long time.
Dental Fees
In 2017, the Alberta Dental Association and College unveiled the new dental fee guide for our province—the first of its kind in twenty years.
Most importantly, the new dental fee guide, allows all our patients to feel comfortable knowing that they're paying exactly what they're supposed to pay. Therefore, are proud to say as of 2018, Royal Oak Dental Clinic is Fee Guide Compliant.

Services

General Exams
More than just a “checkup”, we evaluate your jaw muscles, jaw joint (TMJ), occlusion (or “bite”) and how they can lead to future tooth wear/pain. We do an oral cancer screening at every exam, and closely examine your gums for gum disease, inflammation and bone loss. We examine each and every tooth for cracks, decay, broken fillings, and discolouration, and use a couple of different cameras so that we can show you on a computer monitor what your teeth look like up close!

Invisalign
Invisalign treatment straightens your teeth with a series of custom-moulded aligners.
In other words, straighter teeth without bands, brackets or wires. So, you change them about every 2 weeks then, little by little your teeth will move. Additionally, the aligners are also removable so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual.

Whitening
If you’re looking for a brighter smile, we offer take-home whitening kits! We make custom fit trays that hold a whitening gel against your teeth at home when it suits your schedule. We also offer ZOOM in office whitening for only $350!

Porcelain Crowns
If a tooth has a large cavity or old filling, or has a large crack/fracture, we may recommend a crown. A porcelain crown is a durable restoration that covers the biting surface of the tooth and wraps around it 360 degrees in order to seal the tooth and hold it together to prevent it from breaking down more. Crowns are also usually needed after a root canal on a back tooth to prevent future leakage, re-infection, or irreparable tooth fracture.

Bridges
A bridge helps replace a missing tooth. The two teeth on either side of the missing-tooth-gap have a thin layer of tooth structure removed just like with a crown, and then a porcelain bridge consisting of “two crowns connected by an artificial tooth” is made to fill the gap.

Children's Dentistry
From “happy visits” for your inquisitive little one, to routine exams, cleaning, and filling appointments for your older ones, we’re happy to see your kids here at Royal Oak Dental. We follow the Canadian Dental Association’s guideline by recommending the dental assessment of an infant within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age.
